RICK BASS

Rick Bass is the author of 29 other books, including The Black Rhinos of Namibia and A Thousand Deer, both of which will be published later this year. He has received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Guggenheim Foundation, and his stories have received O. Henry Awards and numerous Pushcart Prizes. Most recently, his memoir Why I Came West was a finalist for a National Book Critics Circle Award. He lives in Montana.
