CLOSE QUARTERS ($2,500 LEVEL)

McSweeney’s Close Quarters members are part of a special group who believe that independent publishing is crucial for a culture of free, vibrant expression. Together, we’re dedicated to telling the untold stories of our time and providing readers with a sense of hope and adventure. McSweeney’s publishes elegant books and periodicals that advance our culture, and our literary arts programs provide opportunities for readers, writers, and artists. We hope you will join us in ensuring a future full of beautiful books and original ideas.

Close Quarters members at the $2,500 level will receive:

–A four-issue subscription to our award-winning McSweeney’s Quarterly literary journal, certain to astound and delight you with original art, bold new writing, and more.

-A three-issue subscription to Illustoria, our beloved art and storytelling magazine for readers ages 6 to 11.

–A special gift once per year, just for Close Quarters subscribers. Will it be a print, a drawing, an original poem, a personal letter to you from one of our editors, a rarity from our rich stash of past treasures or an unreleased little something that almost made it but didn’t quite? We can’t tell you what it will be, but we predict this special mailing will happen in January of each calendar year.

–Special recognition in print. Find your name in the Quarterly, on a list of the donors and friends who make our work possible.

This is a charitable gift to McSweeney’s Literary Arts Fund, a nonprofit organization, as described by IRS 501 c 3. For tax purposes, goods valued at $95 will be exchanged for this gift.
